The Mobile Sharks announce today that the team will move to the City of Satsuma, Alabama and will change their name to the Satsuma Sharks.   The Sharks will sign a multi year contact, and will host their games at Satsuma High School. The Sharks revealed the new logo at the Satsuma City Council meeting on November 11 2008 and was approved by a unanimous decision by the City Council on November 18, 2008. "This is a great move and opportunity for the Sharks, with Satsuma only being 15 minutes north of Mobile we should be able to retain our current players while tapping into the talent pool that exist in North Mobile,Washington and Baldwin Counties, and with the city's sponsorship and community support I guess you can say that Christmas came early for the Sharks" said Owner and General
