The
Sharks are
members of the
Premier FootballLeague (PFL)
which is an adult minor league encompassing the Southeast of the continental
United States. The
PFL gives players and cheerleaders
the opportunity to continue participating in football after high school or
college in a professional type atmosphere. For more information on the

Formed in 2006, The Sharks Minor League Football Organization strives to present valuable services
to both aspiring adult football players and our community at large. The
Sharks endeavor is to create the
opportunity for advancement to a variety of professional and college levels to
players whose goal it is play football as a career or to strive to continue their
education with the help of football. Since players are not compensating,
players that intended to go to college can strengthen their football skills and
not loss eligibility. The
Sharks
provide continuing football education and experience to players of all levels
of achievement and from all walks of life. The
Satsuma Sharks provide camaraderie, intensity, and an atmosphere of
competitive spirit to players who desire to continue playing this great sport
as one of their life’s passions. Additionally, it is the mission of the
Satsuma Sharks Organization to provide
a family friendly entertainment and humanitarian services to North Mobile
County through exciting sporting contests and a variety of community outreach
programs.
The
Sharks organization
not only
gives adults the opportunity to play football, but also supports all local
levels of football from youth to the High School level. In
2007
the
Sharks help raised over $5,000 for the youth football program
at Cottage Hill Park, hosted a Youth Skills Camp for local youth players,
participated in several local community events, and was chosen to be a regional
host team for the annual NFL Pepsi Punt Pass and Kick Competition. In
2008
the
Sharks hosted the inaugural “Joe Toomey Bowl” benefiting Satsuma
football player Joe Toomey producing over $5,000 to aid in medical expenses.
The Sharks also participated in several charity events and work with LifeSouth
Blood Centers.
In
2009
the
Sharks will continue their community involvement and will work
closely with several youth organization and charities.
